It is difficult to get on the scale of autonomous driving technology, and the long discussion on the road to mass production
has been rampant. Beginning in the second half of 2018, investors in the autonomous driving sector began to return to rationality. The competition for autonomous driving around the world is also moving from the experimental stage to the
stage of engineering mass production.

At this point in time, last week on the 30th August, Horizon Robotics announced that it will mass-produce China's first automotive level AI chip, the second generation “Journey 2.” It is worth mentioning that the second generation “Journey 2.”
has obtained a number of pre-installation points in five countries around the world. As soon as the first half of next year,
the public can see a production model with the“Journey 2.”. Based on the “Journey 2.” Automotive chip, Horizon Robotics
also launched the AI chip tool chain Horizon Robotics OpenExplorer, the “Journey 2.” visual perception solution for the
ADAS market, and the brand new Matrix autonomous driving computing platform. An Easter egg is that a “Journey 3.” chip
for L4/L5 autonomous driving and equipped with the Horizon Robotics High Performance Computing Architecture BPU3.0,
which is expected to be officially launched next year.

The Automotive AI chip is the Everest of the artificial intelligence industry, and it is also the premise for the autonomous
driving to achieve large-scale landing. Horizon Robotics launched the first automotive grade AI chip, which not only
achieved a breakthrough in the mass production of China's automotive grade AI chip, but also filled the key link of China domestic autonomous driving industry ecological construction.

The development of complex vehicle technologies such as autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit, telematics, and V2X
poses new challenges to the intelligent vehicle decentralized perception ability. The transformation of the E/E architecture
and the consequent concentration of edge computing will lay the foundation for the whole vehicle perception.  At the
upcoming “The 3rd Annual China Automotive E/E Architecture Technology Innovation Conference” to be held on
the 7 - 8 Nov. 2019 in ShanghaiMr. Stanly Li, the Vice President of Horizon Robotics will give a keynote presentation
on the topic of "
Highly Effiecient AI Computing to foster holistic AI perception infrastructure for Intelligent Vehicles"
to share the development trend of E/E architecture, the formation of “independent sensing layer”, and the real case of
intelligent vehicle full-scenario sensing solution based on AI computing chip etc.

Horizon Robotics has the leading AI algorithms and chip design capabilities. Leveraging the company’s deep know-how optimizing the software-hardware union, it has independently designed high-performance, low-power and cost-effective edge AI chips and solutions that empowers our partners in smart mobility and AIoT. products in Europe to lead the development of the
industry. In September 2004, he wrote “Application
of On-board Local Area Network CAN Bus Technology on Passenger Cars”, which was the first to introduce

the advanced bus master-slave CAN bus control
system in Europe to the Chinese bus market, and
promote the adoption of CAN bus in high-grade
highway passenger cars. As a standardconfiguration,
the control system has become mandatory for writing
JT/T325 “Classification and Rating of Operating Bus
Types”, which lays the foundation for the follow-up development of China's passenger car information technology;

Presentation Topics: “ Functional & E/E
ArchitectureA Change for the Automotive Industry”

Growing vehicle functionality and computing&
communication performance drive evolutionof
the E/E Architectures. Domain centralized E/E-arch
itectures are still considered as mainstream
2021. Increasing amount of major OEMs envisage introduction of vehicle centralized E/E
architectures
(domain oriented / mixed zone) until ~2025.
This presentation shares opinion on future E/E
Architecture development trend, and its
influence on functional and software architectures.

Speaker: Jing Zhe, Engineering Director Systems
Engineering & Technical Strategy; AUTOSAR
China Representative, Bosch (China) Investment Ltd.

Presentation Topics: “Aggregation and integration
of next-generation vehicle computing and the OS
technologies”

As the C.A.S.E, namely Connected, Autonomous,
Sharing/Service, and Electric have become the
driving force of the vehicle design, the E/E
architecture design will also inevitably change.
The design shift challenges the current highly
distributed vehicle computing architecture,
as the software needs to be aggregated and
integrated to the level that is never imagined
before. The software platform such as
AUTOSAR or ROS with its underlying OS will
be the key to realize a high-performance but
energy-efficient, deterministic, cost-effective
safe system. This talk will provide insights into
the software challenges and the role OS plays to tackle the E/E architecture design shift.
